Year round schools are a bad idea

I think year round schools are a bad idea because kids need a break that lets them go on trips and to do sports also go to camp. Kids are supposed to take a break so they can get ready for the new year. School maintenance costs, including day-to-day upkeep and utilities, can increase up to 10 percent if schools are open for longer (Silva, 2007)(about.com ). I think that because of that they are going to charge us more to go to school. Kids do sports and they might not be able to do sports because they all ready have to pay for the school and might not have the money for sports to. Most students would rather get two (Christmas and summer) than five short breaks ( David Richardson said to desertnews.com).want two big breaks because it gives them time to go on trips and lets them do sports and activities that they can't do in a short time like a week.
